The day's competition was cancelled by the Captains due to rain and wind.

Matchplay Round 1 will be moved to next Saturday 11 April 2015.

28 March 2015 - Bexley - BISQUE PAR - 6:30am

25 players teed off of a cool dry day with very little wind. The fairways were in good condition but the greens had just been cored and sanded and the putting surface was a bit too furry and bumpy for our liking especially when the morning dew caused the ball to pick up the sandy and other small debris as it rolled towards the hole.

The Guzzlers Cup winner was Brett Coventry.

DECISION: The FINAL of the Matchplay will be postponed a week to 9th May 2015 as the week scheduled for that competition is Annual Day and as it is the 100 Year Anniversary of the first Anzac Day some of our members will be at the Anzac March and supporting our returned service men & women not playing go

Members received the sad news during the week of the passing of:

• Betty Fenton - wife of one of the inaugural members of the Miranda RSL Golf Club and a staunch supporter of the club and its members; and 
• Keith Petitt - member of the golf club and an active golfer with the club for many years until he experienced health issues about 5 years ago.

Members of the Miranda Golf club extend their condolences to the families and friends of Betty & Keith. They will be in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time.

29 players teed off 50 minutes later than the booked time due to lack of light. We played off the Yellow tees in an effort to placate the members of Kareela that were playing a medal day and may have complained about their late start.

Today's Guzzlers Cup winner was Tim Pooley (45) with Rob Guidi (42) in 2nd place and Frank Fuller in 5rd place on a count back from Mark Santer & Brett Coventry. The Pink Ball was awarded to Garry Daniels (22).

33 players teed off under a blanket of cloud that threatened all day. It didn't rain but we thought that it might and that may have affected some players but not the team of Joe Taylor and Jeff Saunders who won the day's event on a count back from Graham Clarke & Brett Coventry.

The Guzzlers Cup was won by Jeff Saunders (41) on a count back from Steve Carr.

The team event was won as follows:

1st Place - Jeff Saunders & Joe Taylor (48 stableford points)

2nd Place - Graham Clarke & Brett Coventry (48 stableford points)
