 32 players teed off on a warm clear dry morning that promised to be a good day for golf.

The golf course was in very good condition considering the rain that has inundated Sydney the previous night.

The greens were in very good condition with no blemishes to speak off but they were fast.

The fairways were also in good condition

30 players teed off on a clear dry morning with a cool 4 degrees at tee-off which turned into a beautiful warm Autumn day that reached into the low 20s. Perfect for golf.

The golf course was still a bit wet underfoot. Bunkers were out of play as they had no rakes and sand buckets could not be shared. COVID-19 restrictions have been reinstated in response to the recent increase of COVID infections in Sydney.

22 August 2020 - Boomerang Golf Course - Yellow Ball Team Event & Individual Stableford - 7:00am

27 players teed off on a morning that was reportedly the coldest day at this time of year for many years. When I left home the thermometer in my car registered 5 degrees but on the course the wind chill factor made it feel like zero. The top temperature for the day was forecast to be 16 degrees.

The morning was clear and dry and the course was a little bit wet underfoot but very few puddles of water on the fairways or pathways.

The greens were however lightning fast on the down slope but a bit slow on the up slope.

The Guzzler's Cup winner was John Adelerhof with 33 points ahead of Graham Clarke (32) and Matt Saunders (31) on a count back from at least one other player.

The winners of the Team event were as follows:

Mick Connor, Dylan Connor, Fred El-Daher & Danny Yu managed to avoid losing the Yellow ball (which was actually pink) and score 33 points with it and won on a count back from the team of Graham Clarke, James Huertas, Matt Saunders and Grant Lethbridge.

26 players teed off on a clear dry morning.

The golf course was very wet underfoot after a lot of rain during the week. There were many puddles of water on each fairway. In the centre of the course the rough was under water and players were able to 'pick up' and move their balls to a dry playing area.

The green staff declared 'preferred lie through the green'.

The greens were in very good condition but they were slow due to the heavy moisture

8 August 2020 - Rosnay (Auburn) Golf Course - Individual Stableford - 7:00am

 Only 14 players teed off on a day for which the weather forecast had been less than favorable after a Friday of torrential rain that resulted in pools of water all over the course.

Motorized carts were however allowed out on the course which appeared to handle the early traffic pretty well.

There was no rain or showers during our round but it did start to sprinkle during the post-match presentation. In fact there was a lot of sunshine during our round. Most players removed their rain jackets and jumpers mid-way through the round.

The greens were in very good condition albeit a bit slow due to the added moisture. The rough was not too thick and the fairways had a lush green thick cover that allowed the ball to sit high enable good contact.
