32 players teed off on a coolish but clear and dry morning.

The course was very wet underfoot after recent rain during the week.so much so that carts were not allowed on the course. The greens a bit soggy and slick.

Competition cancelled due to restricted numbers available to play due to the perceived threat of COVID and the travel restrictions to regions outside Sydney Metro for persons living and/or working in the 7 LGAs identified by NSW Health.

11 players who were not affected by the COVID threat or the travel restrictions had a social game (i.e. not an official club game) at the course. They were:

19 June 2021 - Calderwood Valley Golf Course - Hackers Challenge - Individual Stableford - 7:00am

 26 players from the Miranda Golf Club teed off on a cool overcast morning where rain was forecast. Players were hopeful that the wind would drive the rain out to sea and it did for all but the last 5 holes. However it was not too wet. 

We had a SHOTGUN START in the Hackers Challenge and the wind was very strong and gusty - on some holes it was behind you on the tee and across the fairway for your second shot and then in your face as you approached the green - all on the one hole. Very difficult conditions and the scores reflected that.

The greens were fast early.

The fairways were in good condition however there were a few puddles of water visible all over the course.

The lake was full of water and the creeks were flowing.

10 Groups teed off in the Hackers Challenge which was won by the Hackers 6 games to 2 with 2 drawn games.

The Guzzlers Cup was won by James Huertas

29 players teed off on a dry but very cold morning. It took our hands 4-5 holes to warm up enough to properly hold a golf club.

There was no rain or showers during our round and it did warm up after the sun came out

The greens were in very good condition and quite quick. The rough was not too thick and the fairways had a lush green thick cover that allowed the ball to sit high enable good contact.

 Guzzlers Cup was won by Danny Yu.
