13th August 2017 - Gainsborough Greens - Individual Stableford - 9:42am

Once again the day was a dry and warms 25 degrees with no breeze to speak of.

The course was in very good condition although the greens and tees had been cored a few weeks ago making them a little rough. The layout of the course was very challenging with plenty of dog-legs and water.

The greens were a bit bumpy and the grass was a little longer that Arundal Hills making putting a bit tricky.

21 players enjoyed the difference between the 2 courses and that was reflected in the scores.

Joe Taylor won the Guzzlers Cup with 38 points on a count back from Tim Pooley with Nathan Swain one point behind in 3rd place.

11th August 2017 - Arundal Hills Golf Course - Individual Stableford - 10:48am

The day was a dry and warms 25 degrees far different to what was being experienced by those left behind in Sydney.

The course was in very good condition with very slick greens that made it hard to stop the ball on approach to them.

21 players enjoyed the experience although the course layout was not very forgiving.

The front nine was relatively flat with well sculpted fairways.

The back nine was totally different - undulating and inundated with trees that seemed to reach out and grab the balls in flight.

Ben Hagan won the Guzzlers Cup with 29 points.

12 August 2017 - Boomerang Golf Course - 2 Ball Best Ball - 6:30 am

The morning was freezing with a wind that had to be up to 40 knots, lots of balls found the bush on the Par 5 4th.

It was deemed by several present to be the windiest day in which they had played golf.

It was a cold start to the morning but not as cold as our last game at The Ridge a few weeks ago which was probably because there was very little wind and the wind chill factor did not have any impact. By the time that we finished the jumpers were well and truly off and the sun was quite warm.
