28/02/2026 - Calderwood Valley Golf Corse - Ray Fenton Memorial Shield - 7:00am
19 players teed off on an overcast morning with light drizzle and no wind. By mid morning the sky cleared and the sun came out creating a warm morning for golf.
The fairways had a very good grass cover and they had been well mowed producing a reasonable amount of 'run'. The rough was a good length and generally in good condition. 6 inch preferred lie on fairways.
The greens were in good condition helping good putters to sink their putts.
Most bunkers were IN PLAY.
The Ray Fenton Memorial Shield was won by Julian Werrett for the 2nd year in a row.
The Guzzlers Cup was awarded to Julian Werrett.

23 players teed off on a warm morning with overcast skies helping to keep the temperature down making it more peasant for golf.
Bunkers were IN PLAY.
There was a 300mm preferred lie on the fairways only.
The greens were in very good condition but slow for putting.

20/02/2026 - Hawks Nest Golf Course - Individual Stableford - 10:30am
Many thanks to Graham Clarke and Adrian Adelerhof for making multiple trips to carry players and clubs between the Peninsula Motel and the wharf. This saved a lot of money due to the cost of parking at and near the wharf.
The ferry to Hawks Nest departed Nelson Bay wharf at 8:00am on Friday 20th February with dolphins escorting the ferry and playing at its bow between Nelson Bay wharf and Tea Gardens
The Hawks Nest courtesy bus transported our playing group to and from the golf course.

31 players teed off on a cool morning with overcast skies and heavy drizzle for the first hour or so. The temperature was forecast to reach the mid 20 degrees by lunch time which it did.
Bunkers were IN PLAY except those that had white stakes in them.
There was a 300mm preferred lie on the fairways only.
The greens were in very good condition.
