19 players teed off on an overcast morning with light drizzle and no wind. By mid morning the sky cleared and the sun came out creating a warm morning for golf.
The fairways had a very good grass cover and they had been well mowed producing a reasonable amount of 'run'. The rough was a good length and generally in good condition. 6 inch preferred lie on fairways.
The greens were in good condition helping good putters to sink their putts.
Most bunkers were IN PLAY.
