SATURDAY COMPETITION:

31 players teed off on a dry and cool morning with overcast skies and a mild wind. The temperature was forecast to reach mid 20s by lunch time which it did.

The bunkers were OUT OF PLAY (i.e. GUR).

There was a 300mm preferred lie on the fairways only.

The greens were in very good condition and fast for putting.

The Miranda Hotel has agreed to support the Miranda Golf Club through a sponsorship that give the winner and runner-up some money to spend at the hotel while enjoying a drink and/or a meal with family and friends but today’s prize winners elected to receive golf balls instead.

27 players from MGC teed off on an overcast drizzly morning that required players to don wet weather gear and use umbrellas for the first 6 holed.warm morning.

The fairways had a very good grass cover.

There was a 150mm preferred lie on fairways.

The greens were in good condition with a thick mat cover that when added with the water from the rain made putting challenging.

Bunkers were in play and contained a good amount of sand.
