The fairways were in very good condition as were the greens which had good cover with no blemishes and they were fast.

38 players teed off on a clear dry morning on a day for which the forecast was 70% rain. We were in the 8th group and there was drizzle with small hale stones at times but we didn't need our wet weather gear until we were coming down the 18th fairway.

At times it was quite warm and muggy.

The greens and fairways were in great condition. The greens were not as fast as we expected but that could have been due to heavy rain in the area over the past 3 days.

17 October 2020 - Calderwood Golf Course - Individual Stableford - Club Championships Round 3 - 8:00am

31 players teed off on warm but overcast morning where it didn't get very hot certainly not hot enough to dry out the greens which were very slow even towards the end of the round. They must have ben cored only a few weeks ago and no sand used to fill the holes. The greens were very furry and slow as they have not been closely mown.

The lake was full of water and the streams were flowing freely albeit not as full with water as they were the last time that we played there which was only a few weeks ago.

29 players teed off on a clear dry but cool morning where a thick mist was visible up to a metre from the ground.

The day turned into a beautiful warm Spring day that reached into the low 20s. Perfect for golf.

The golf course was still a bit wet underfoot and the cover on the greens was rather thick causing putts to finish short of the hole. The green staff declared Preferred Lie in the Bunkers with no rakes in them.
