25 players teed off on a very warm morning that was forecast to hit 47 degrees at Penrith by 2pm.
The coastal temperatures were lower but it was 37 degrees at Boomerang when I left the course on my drive home.
The Guzzlers Cup was won by Moz Huertas.
The Ray Fenton Memorial Shield is awarded to the winner of the day's event which was established many years ago to recognise the contribution made to the GC by past members who are no longer with us.
The Ray Fenton Memorial Shield was presneted to Moz Huertas who will hold it for the next 12 months. Congratulations to Moz.

4. Garry Daniels will be exiting hospital early next week to go into a high care nursing facility in Sylvania. He will continue to undergo radiation therapy and chemotherapy for the next month or so after which he will undergo scans (MRI) to see how it has impacted his cancer..
