30 players teed off on a warm dry morning with clear sky. The fairways were mainly dry with a thick covering of grass. The Greens were in very good condition with a thick mat that made putting difficult as only a strong putt would get to the hole. Players found that difficult after last week's game at Calderwood where the greens were fast.
The sun came out mid-morning warming things up a lot. It was also very humid. We did not envy the members teeing off later in the day.

This was the first round of the Eclectic Competition that will be held at Woolooware over the next 8 rounds ending in late December 2023. Scott Whyte will upload the details of the Eclectic Scoring to the web after today's game.
The scores from today's game at Woolooware for each player will be uploaded to the web site. For each subsequent game at Woolooware if a player betters his previous score for each of the 18 holes that new best score will replace the previous one for that hole. After the 8 games the player with the best score card will win the Eclectic Competition.
