26 die-hard players tossed the dice and braved the conditions that threatened to drench us during the round. It wasn't too bad. Yes, we got wet but there was no wind to speak of and the rain was limited to a heavy drizzle while were on the course.
Parts of the course were very spongy and a few golf balls plugged never to be seen again. Our golf shoes were very wet at the end of 18 holes as were our socks.
The greens had been sanded making putting challenging.

Notices:
Those present extended their condolences to Denis Daniels and his family on the passing during week of his brother, Garry. Garry had been a member of the Miranda Social Golf Club for over 40 years serving on the Committee in various positions over those years. He was a much liked and respected member of the golf club and will be sadly missed. Those present 'raised their glasses' in memory of Garry.
Jeff Saunders had an accident on Friday injuring his leg which meant that he could not play today. He much preferred to stay at home to be pampered by his wife, Susan. Good well soon, Jeff. We missed you today.
