The Hackers Challenge is a hotly contested competition between the Miranda Social Golf Club and the Engadine Hackers that has been in our playing calendar for more than 20 years. As is the usual case the games were played in good spirits and all involved in the competition appeared to enjoy the experience.
Miranda defeated The Hackers 5 to 1.
For Miranda Social Golf Club 27 players teed off on a cool morning on a day that was forecast to hit the low 20s. It was definitely chilly in the first 3-4 holes until we warmed up a bit - hands were definitely spending more time in the pockets of our jackets. The weather was nice when we managed to get into the sun.
The fairways had a very good grass cover and they had been well mowed producing a reasonable amount of 'run' and the rough was in good condition.
The greens were also in excellent condition resulting in a good test for our putting.
The Guzzlers Cup was won by Mark Walton.
