28/03/2026 - Boomerang Golf Course - Matchplay Semi-Final - Individual Stableford - 7:00am

24 players teed off on a cool, windy and overcast morning but the sun and warmth arrived by the 10th hole.

All bunkers were in play but some had water in them requiring players to drop their ball in the bunker at a point no closer to the hole but from a drier lie.

The fairways were in very good condition although some fairways had pooled water in places.

The greens were well covered with grass that had been cut on Wednesday so putts needed to be firm to get to the hole.

The Guzzlers Cup was won by Steve O'Grady

The Miranda Hotel has agreed to support the Miranda Golf Club through a sponsorship that give the winner and runner-up some money to spend at the hotel while enjoying a drink and/or a meal with family and friends.

In light of the resignation by Adrian Adelerhof from one of the Vic-Captain positions, Darren Welsh agreed to act in the position until it can be formalized by members at the next AGM.

Boomerang GC will not replace the broken BBQs so if any member of MGC has a portable BBQ that can be used by the GC when we play Boomerang it would be greatly appreciated and allow us to continue to celebrate with a BBQ after our games.
