28 players teed off on a drizzly overcast morning that required many to get the umbrellas out and/or don their wet weather gear as the rain had been forecast up to 15mm during the day. However by 8:30am the rain had eased to the point where the wet weather gear came off and ten umbrellas were put away although the sky was still overcast.
The 17th Hole was back in play with the previously seen patchy areas filled with new turf and roped off to protect the new turf from damage by motorized carts or inconsiderate golfers.
The 18th Tee was back in play making the 18th Hole more challenging than in previous months.
The fairways were generally in good condition with a thick covering of grass. The Greens staff have been busy filling the patchy areas that we have seen in previous games with new turf.
The course is much tidier.
The Greens had a good thick cover of grass albeit a bit wet from the recent rain/drizzle that made Putting more challenging.
