29 players teed off in warm but moist conditions. Thanks to the recent rain there was not a lot of run on the fairways and the greens were a bit softer than usual. There was very little water in the dams and the creeks had no flowing water.  We were told that they had to buy council water recently to supplement the dam water.

In addition to winning the Guzzlers Cup with 40 Stableford points Matt Saunders won the right to have his name engraved on the Ray Fenton Memorial Shield which was once again well contested. This Shield is offered in commemoration of all of our members who have passed on but as Ray Fenton was a member of the original members of the Miranda Golf Club and as he performed several roles within the Miranda Golf Club for in excess of 20 years he is considered to be a founding member of the club and a significant contributor to its longevity.
