31 players teed off on a warm but overcast morning with a forecast of clear skies by mid-morning but threatening to rain later in the afternoon/evening.

The fairways were generally in good condition with a thick covering of grass but still patchy on some fairways.

The Greens had a good cover of grass although they too were affected by a bit of mold making them patchy but not neat the flagstick.

The Guzzlers Cup was won by Matt Gillespie on a count back from Darren Welsh

The Miranda Hotel has agreed to support the Miranda Golf Club through a sponsorship that give the winner and runner-up some money to spend at the hotel while enjoying a drink and/or a meal with family and friends.
