34 players teed off on an overcast morning with light drizzling rain that threatened to negatively impact on the enjoyment of our game of golf. Players were encouraged by the forecast of sun and warmth later in the morning.
The fairways were generally in good condition with a thick covering of grass but still patchy on some fairways.
The Greens had a good thick cover of grass that made putting all the more difficult to gauge the best speed due to the moisture from rain and dew overnight.
