17 diehard players braved the conditions while
several turned up but did not want to get their nickers wet so they went home
to be with their wives - very commendable.
Considering the amount of rain that the course
received yesterday and overnight the course was in very good condition.
When we arrived it was raining but by the time the
4th group teed off it was only a light drizzle. It turned into fog by the time
the 4th group made it to the 3rd tee. As you know if there is fog there is no
rain. The fog remained for another 3 holes after which the wind arrived and
blew the fog away. By the 10th hole the wind also abated and, although there
was no sun, the conditions were excellent for golf.
