23 players teed off on a cool morning with clear skies. The sun came out at about 8am and that warmed us up.

The grass cover on the greens and fairways was a bit long and fluffy. That combined with the heavy dew made putting difficult.

The Guzzlers Cup was won by Ian Cooper (36)

26 players teed off on a morning that was cool with clear skies and no hint of rain or wind.

The fairways were mainly dry with a thick covering of grass.

The Greens were in very good condition with a thick mat that made putting difficult as only a strong putt would get to the hole.

Eclectic Competition:

This was the fifth round of the Eclectic Competition that will be held at Woolooware ending in December 2023. Rob Guidi will upload the details of the Eclectic Scoring to the web after the game.

The scores from each game at Woolooware for each player will be uploaded to the web site. For each subsequent game at Woolooware if a player betters his previous score for each of the 18 holes that new best score will replace the previous one for that hole. After the 8 games the player with the best score card will win the Eclectic Competition.

19/8/2023 - Calderwood Valley Golf Course - Individual Stableford - 7:00am

 29 players teed off on a cool morning on a day that was forecast to reach 19 degrees. It was very windy for the first 9 holes blowing strongly from the south

The weather was nice when we managed to get into the sun.

The fairways had a very good grass cover and they had been well mowed producing a reasonable amount of 'run' and the rough was in good condition.

The greens were also in excellent condition and fast for our putting.

30cm preferred lie on the fairways. 

The greens were in very good condition and putting was good.

The fairways were in good condition with plenty of run.
