27 December 2014 - Woolooware- Stableford - 5:30am

An early start heralded what would be a perfect day for golf. Within 30 minutes of tee off the dark clouds, that threatened our game, disappeared to reveal beautiful blue skies and plenty of sunshine.

There were no Guzzlers Cup and Pink Ball competitions as it was a 4-Ball Ambrose event which was won by the team of: Fred Jeanes, Darren Fuller, Denis Daniels & Grant Thompson. The team that was is second place comprised Danny Yu, Steve Vormister, Matt Whibley & Sam Yu.

Players welcomed a possible new member, Daniel Cundari.

The member’s card draw, a bottle of wine, was won by Steve Vormister.

The Ball prizes were won as follows:

20 December 2014 - Kareela - Stableford - 5:45am

29 players teed off of a warm day with a cool breeze and enough cloud cover to make the game of golf perfect. The golf course had very good greens but the tees are a bit patchy in places.

The only things that was missing for some was good golf but not for today's Guzzlers Cup winner John Dunn (41) who won from Fred El-Daher (40) in 2nd place on a count back from Tim Pooley. The Pink Ball was awarded to Grant Lethbridge (26). The golf bag what was donated by Kareela Golf & Social Club for the highest cumulative Stableford score over all games played at Kareela in 2014 was won by Tim Pooley.

The winner of the member’s card draw, a bottle of wine, was Rob Gillespie.

13 December 2014 - The Ridge - Stableford - 5:30am

Dark clouds and a light drizzle threatened early but did not in any way dampen the enthusiasm of those who turned up to play golf. The fairways were in very good conditions and the green in general were good but un-repaired pitch marks did hamper putting for some unfortunate players. 

The Guzzlers Cup was won by Rodney Dixon (39) on a count back from Jeff Saunders and Rob Guidi (38). The  The Pink Ball was awarded to Fred El-Daher (22).

The member’s card draw, a bottle of wine was won by Steve Messervy.

6 December 2014 - Calderwood Valley - Stableford - 3 Clubs & A Putter - 6:00am

The morning was warm and sunny with a slight breeze. It would have been a perfect day for golf if it had no been for those damn flies!

The Guzzlers Cup was won by Rob Guidi (39) ahead of Graham Clarke (38) and John Dunn (37) on a count back from Chris Lee. The Pink Ball was awarded to Frank Fuller (20). Players welcomed a visitor, Keiran Bish. The member's draw for the bottle of wine was won by Danny Yu.
An Emirates golf cap was donated by Rob Guidi who played in the ProAM during the week and scored it as a prize. The cap was the subject of a card draw and the winner was Graham Clarke.

24 players teed off of a course that has very good greens but whose fairways are a bit patchy in places. The recent rain has helped water the course promoting growth to help combat the poor weather over recent months that has impacted the fairways. When the increasing heat impacted us on the back 9 we were glad that we teed off so early.

The Guzzlers Cup was won by Steve Vormister (41) on a count back from Rob Guidi and Rob Gillespie (39) in 3rd place ion a count back from Danny Yu. The Pink Ball was awarded to John Dunn (26).

The winner of the member’s card draw, a bottle of wine, was Fred El-Daher. Peter Bull won the Horse Lotto ($100).

With a very warm temperature of 41 degrees on the Friday before our early start, players were pleasantly surprised to experience a warm sunny day with a slight breeze to cool us down when we needed it. The early start proved most beneficial resulting in a most enjoyable day to play golf. 

The Guzzlers Cup was won by Steve O'Grady (41) ahead of Tim Tillbrook (39) and the ever-present Graham Clarke (36). The Pink Ball was awarded to Ben Everson (22) who played his first game back after getting married 2 weeks ago. Players welcomed Nathan Donoghue, a friend of Joe Taylor & Ryan Carr.
