4/11/2023 - Woolooware Golf Course - Individual Stableford - Eclectic Last Round - 6:19am

23 players teed off on a morning that was on the cool side with the threat of rain but no wind.

The fairways were dry with a thick covering of grass.

The Greens were in very good condition with a thick mat that made putting difficult as only a strong putt would get to the hole.

Eclectic Competition:

This was the last round of the Eclectic Competition.

The scores from each game at Woolooware for each player are uploaded to the web site. For each subsequent game at Woolooware if a player betters his previous score for each of the 18 holes that new best score replaces the previous one for that hole. After the 8 games the player with the best score card wins the Eclectic Competition.

In 2023 the Eclectic Competition was won by Sam Lee. See the Eclectic Result Sheet on the web site for the scores and contenders for this coveted competition that has been named in honour of Garry Daniels. Garry ran the Eclectic Competition for many years and was an esteemed member of the Miranda Golf Club. Unfortunately Garry lost his battle with cancer in the past year.

27/10/2023 - Mittagong Golf Course - Individual Stableford -

16 players teed off on a cold, windy day with light drizzle. 

The course was in good condition with slick green that were challenging for the putter.

All who played enjoyed the game with Tim Tillbrook scoring an eagle on the 14th and Rodney Dixon winning $85 on the Jackpot hole.

29 players teed off on a morning that was a little chilly to start but warmed up after an hour or so. The sky was clear and no hint of rain or wind.

The fairways were dry with a thick covering of grass.

The Greens were in very good condition with pin placements that were challenging for the putter.

John Adelerhof and his wife, Barbara, depart on a 10 day island cruise tomorrow afternoon. John will be celebrating his 90th Birthday (3 November) on the cruise with Barbara and his daughter and son-in-law. We will see him again in two weeks.

 32 players teed off on a morning that was warmer than recent weeks with clear skies and no hint of rain or wind.

The fairways were dry with a thick covering of grass.

The Greens were in very good condition with a thick mat that made putting difficult as only a strong putt would get to the hole. Woolooware prepared the fairways and the greens for their Club Championships so the greens were quick.

34 players teed off on a cool morning on a day that was forecast to reach 26 degrees. It was very windy for the first 9 holes blowing strongly from the south

The weather was nice for golf.

The fairways had a very good grass cover and they had been well mowed producing a reasonable amount of 'run' and the rough was in good condition.

The greens were also in excellent condition and fast for our putting.
