25 players teed off on an overcast morning that cleared quickly into a warm sunny day with no wind but a slight sea breeze to keep us cool.

Bunkers were out of play and parts of the course were muddy from recent rain but the course was mainly dry underfoot with fairways in good condition.

The greens were in good condition and fast with downhill putts generally running past the hole.

30/12/2023 - Woolooware Golf Course - 3 Clubs & a Putter 2-Person Ambrose Event - 5:35am

24 players teed off on a warm morning that turned into a very warm day reaching the mid-20s by the time we finished 18 holes. No wind and no rain.

The fairways were dry with a thick covering of grass.

The Greens were generally in very good condition - thick mat that was good for putting as putts ran true as long as you could get the ball to the hole.

39 players teed off on an overcast morning with slight misty rain that cleared quickly to a warm sunndy day with no wind but a slight sea breeze to keep us cool.

Bunkers were out of play but otherwise the course was mainly dry underfoot and in very good condition.

The greens were in good condition but the early morning mist meant that the grass was a bit moist making it difficult for putting.

23 players teed off on a warm morning that turned into a very warm day reaching 34 degrees by the time we finished 18 holes. No wind and no rain.

The fairways were dry with a thick covering of grass.

The Greens were in very good condition - thick mat that was good for putting as putts ran true as long as you could get the ball to the hole. 

The Guzzlers Cup winner was Matt Saunders who scored 29 points on the front 9 holes.

29 players teed off on a warm morning that was forecast to reach 40 degrees near the coast and 44 degrees out west with little chance of rain until late in the day or Sunday.

30cm preferred lie on the fairways. 

The greens were in very good condition and fast for putting.

The fairways were in good condition with plenty of run.

The bunkers however did not have a lot of sand in them with the Heshan matting showing through in places.

One of our longtime members of the Miranda Golf Club, Alan Griffiths, lost his 2-year battle with cancer last Wednesday. He was in hospital surrounded by his family when he passed away.
