26 players teed off later than normal on a day that threatened to be a
stinker which is exactly what it was. High 30s with little cool ocean breeze to
take the edge off made the day unbearable for some who did not finish 18 holes.
The fairways were mainly lush and green with the greens were well
covered with no blemishes or uneven grass to speak off but they were in the
main fast for putting.
