31 players teed off on a morning that was cool but the forecast was for a warm sunny day with no chance of rain. The early wind eased before the first group teed off.
30cm preferred lie on the fairways.
The greens were in very good condition and putting was good albeit a bit slow until the dew was burnt off by the sun.
The fairways were in good condition with plenty of run.
