Wow! What a Day. Some players literally hit their balls out of sight!
14 players hit off on a morning that was very wet and threatening in Sydney with lightning and thunder causing all but the hardiest of our golfers to pull out because they didn't want to get their panties wet.
We had our umbrellas out for about 2 minutes but it was certainly cool and the fog was present for the first 15 holes which made it difficult to see more than 25 metres in front of you. Players had to call "Clear" when they left the green to avoid the following group hitting up dangerously. Luckily there were no injuries and everyone had a good day. The only problem was that I honestly though that we would turn around and come home after we made the obligatory appearance at the course and I didn't buy any ice for the beer. We had the BBQ at the end of the game with the presentation but there was no cold beer. Sorry guys!
The Guzzlers Cup was won by Mick Connor who announced that he was stoked as he had not won in two years.
