27 players teed off on a clear dry morning.

The course was predominantly dry and had recovered from being a little bit wet underfoot the last time that we played here. The summer heat over the past 2 weeks must have dried it out.

The Ray Fenton Memorial Event was won by Fred Pearce. This event celebrates the heritage of the Miranda Golf Club and all of its members that have passed on. Ray was a founding member of the golf club, a left handed and an A-Grade player. Ray held several positions within the Committee of the Golf Club for many years from the Club's inception until the 1980s. Ray was renowned fro his ability to hit the ball straight and his dedication to the GC and its members.
