27 players teed off on a clear morning with a weather forecast of a bit of rain during the early morning.
The greens and fairways were in good condition. The greens were thick and moist making them slower than normal for putting. The fairways were lush with good green grass cover. There were a few dried patches where water had accumulated in the low-lying areas on the fairways over the past week.
