The 31 players teed off under overcast conditions. The haze was rather overpowering at first but it helped to keep the temperature down. It was still very humid making the back 9 rather tiring for some but not for today's Guzzlers Cup winner, Joe Taylor. Interestingly Joe won the Guzzlers Cup in the second game of last year.

Those present welcomed 2 new members, Terry Vandyk and Andrew Dyble.
Terry was a long time member until a few years ago and has decided to rejoin. Those present welcomed Terry back. Terry played very well (only 4 over on the front 9) for someone who has played infrequently over recent years although the back 9 brought him back to the field (7 over). We all know that feeling!.
Sam Yu who was putting in his second card for handicap assessment also played very well achieving 1 over PAR after 16 holes off SCRATCH. His playing partners were in awe of his ability to drive well and put his second shot on the green in birdie territory. Sam had 5 birdies on the front 9 holes.
The member’s card draw, a bottle of wine, was won by Tim Tillbrook.
