A very
warm temperature of 23 degrees welcomed players as they arrived in the car park
of the Woolooware Golf Club at 5:30am. This signalled the start of a
game of golf where those present were most appreciative of the early start. 21
player players teed off on a beautiful sunny and warm morning on a course
that was in great condition with lush green fairways and well manicured greens.
The course has undoubtedly benefit greatly from the recent rain and
warmer conditions in recent days/weeks.
The
Guzzlers Cup was won by Peter Bull (43) ahead of Joe Taylor (39) and Ben Hagan
(36) on a count back from Gary Barnes. The Pink Ball was awarded to Scott Whyte
(27) on a count back from John Dunn and Steve Buchanan. The member’s card
draw, a bottle of wine, was forgotten and no draw was made.
The Ball prizes were won as follows:
NTP 4th Hole: Joe Taylor
NTP 9th Hole: Al Griffiths
NTP 10th Hole:
D&P 6th Hole: Peter Bull
D&P 15th Hole:
Eagles Nest 16th Hole: Nobody (although Peter Bull was very close!). Jackpots by $10.50 to next week.
